car: 1989 240 wagon, about 240,000 miles problem: play in the steering at right front wheel Since I've had the car (about 7 years) there's always been some "play" in the right front wheel. When the car is on jackstands, I can grasp the wheel

| V70XC Trailer lighting | 28 Sep 2007 23:18 GMT | 2 |
I had a tail light problem that the local dealer traced to the trailer lighting circuit. The power for the trailer circuit had been spliced directly into the power to the tail lights on one side. This, they said, was a no-no with a Volvo hitch as it requires a "control module" ...

| 92 740 No start.... | 28 Sep 2007 21:55 GMT | 5 |
I drove my 92 740 home yesterday and parked in the driveway. Today no start.... It appears that there is no spark in the ignition system. Tested all the components (wires/cap/coil) on another 740 and they all work great, but not in mine.

I have a 1988 Volvo 740 GLE that lived in another life in Up state NY and Connecticut. So, it had some salt exposure. There is a few rust spots that are starting to appear. Some are at the front of the hood and some are at the tail gate.

| Who has cheap 740 O2 sensor? | 24 Sep 2007 20:52 GMT | 4 |
Its for my 92 740 turbo wagon. After changing the air mass meter, the gas mileage went up to normal for a couple of weeks, and then plummeted again. Needs another new part. Rock Auto has a Bosch sensor for $99. But I seem to remember a few months ago someone in this forum

| What happens when power steering loses pressure? | 22 Sep 2007 22:57 GMT | 2 |
I have a 1992 240 wagon. Today I noticed that steering had become rather hard and after refilling the reservoir, realized that there appears to be a hole in the pressure line that runs in front of the steering gear - when the car runs, fluid sprays from it.
