aluminum wheels?
dashboard lighting issue (85 245)27 Dec 2007 02:45 GMT2
I replaced the heater blower and speedometer cable, and now my dash
lights seem to be a little odd. Instead of normally being dash lights,
they sometimes switch turning on the blinker lights and the high beam
lights, and the overall dash light isn't on.

New V70 - What do you think?25 Dec 2007 16:31 GMT14
I'm having trouble coming to terms with the styling of the rear end of
the new V70. Anyone else the same?
It looks like a Subaru to me, and whereas the old one (00-07) looked
handsome and not out of place amongst Rollers and big Mercs, I think
Fuel tank lid door does not open on 855 TDI24 Dec 2007 14:34 GMT2
855 TDI 1997. After a few days with freezing temperatures I wanted to fill the
2/3 full tank. The door over the lid did not open. The car´s manual explained
how to get access to the lever near the right back lower lights to manually open
the lid, I will do it during daylight time ...
Haldex Problems23 Dec 2007 15:46 GMT1
The more recent Volvo AWD's use a Haldex Unit.  On swedespeed.com there
is a report of Haldex failures:
"The Haldex unit is shut down by the computer.  A stored message in the
computer says to replace the faulty temperature/pressure sensor in the
XC-70 Door Locks are     "Possessed"    !!!!!22 Dec 2007 11:35 GMT2
OK, here's one....  This morning the battery on wife's XC-70(2004) was
dead and I had to jump start it.  It turned right over and I drove it
around for 30 minutes to charge it back up.  I pulled in the driveway
since today was oil change day.  A little while when I was under the
volvo 850 engine data22 Dec 2007 08:22 GMT4
I am a former 940 owner, now I'm looking for a new 850 sedan and i ran
across some engine data on wikipedia ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Volvo_850

98 S70 new problems -- Help!!!  Need car for Christmas!!22 Dec 2007 04:14 GMT1
My 98 S70 stalled out and won't run now.  It's not out of gas.  It
turns over but doesn't start.  To make matters worse, the key won't
come out of the damm ignition.  I have wiggled the wheel, shifted
repeatedly etc. but the key won't come out -- car still also won't
240 Heater blower replacement question21 Dec 2007 06:54 GMT4
I'm about 75% through the replacement of the blower motor (and etc)
and I noticed when I put the blower motor back in, the shaft doesn't
stick out far enough for the  fan, as it rubs on one side (the
passenger side) and I actually can't even hook the fan thing TO the
AC/Heater Fan Motor20 Dec 2007 14:37 GMT4
I noticed this in the winter and it progressively got worse, but when
I turn on my AC or Heater the air movement out of the front cluster
panel vents is little to zero. The defroster works well, the air
eventually gets into the car as the car does somewhat cool and heat,
850R what pit-falls??18 Dec 2007 16:38 GMT5
Seen a nice 97 850R, all the bells and whistles, good comprehensive service
history, below average miles. What are the pit-falls with these cars apart
from a speeding ticket.

I have a line on a V90, modest miles for a 1998.  I can't find much
about this model online, any input?  We'd be a two-Volvo wagon family...
odometer reset '86 74015 Dec 2007 07:32 GMT1
I'm replacing the speedometer (VDO) in our 86 740.  How can I reset the
mileage in the replacement to match the one in the car?  (We have 400k
miles -- all ours!!), and we want to continue.
