| 1996 850 R unbeliveable!! | 05 Feb 2008 18:02 GMT | 7 |
Sorry to those who thought I was going to wax lyrical about the performance of these cars.......I'm not. What I find unbelievable is that this was the last year they made the 850 and the glove box catch is still the same crap that was on the 1992 models. Did the penny not drop at ...

| PS Pump noise | 05 Feb 2008 05:39 GMT | 5 |
I put in the "new" PS pump, got the belts tight, put on the new hose, and filled the tank. Now it makes a whir noise, BUT it's not unlike that of some other PS pumps Ive heard. But since I haven't had a good PS pump in the thing (ever) and I haven't had a car with with PS

I am looking into buying a Jetta TDI, about 2002 model. (sorry there is no volkswagon NG.....but you motorheads here will know). I MIGHT move out of town in another 1,2 or 3 years, and have to commute a long distance each day---- or it might not happen. If I just keep driving

| Chip Key Won't Program | 05 Feb 2008 01:10 GMT | 6 |
In my effort to put together a second set of keys for a 2000 xc the dealer doesn't seem to be able to get it to work. My visit today ended with, "make an appointment and we will have to do some diognostic work". Has anyone experienced difficulty with having a key programed? I'm ...

| a whirring sound | 04 Feb 2008 14:49 GMT | 5 |
I have an 85 245, and I'm hearing a whirring type sound, that seems to be coming from the back. It's like the noise you hear when you're downshifting, but it's not based on the clutch or gear-shift. It seems to be worse when it's cold, and seems to be more based on the

| 1997 960 wagon--starting issues related to shifter and steering wheel lock | 04 Feb 2008 12:40 GMT | 3 |
I have an intermittent problem starting the old wagon. It has 120K+ miles. It's the last of the rear drives. Occasionally, the steering column lock won't engage, precluding starting. Movement of the wheel eventually locks it, and it will sometimes start. But then, on

As I was driving last night all of the dash warning lights began to pulsate (Flicker dimly). The headlights seemed to fuction and the car runs and drives OK. The car started up again after being turned off too. I am guessing that it may be the alternator but thought I should ask for ...

| '01 V40 won't start (sometimes!!) | 03 Feb 2008 16:40 GMT | 3 |
Can anyone suggest a focus on this problem. About once a month, my V40 will not start. It is as if the gearshift is not fully in Park....you know, turn the key, and ....nothing!! But the shifter is solidly in park. Not a battery thing, because it doesn't

| A new noise (85 245) | 03 Feb 2008 16:21 GMT | 4 |
So far, I've asked about my heater blower and my rear dif, and maybe something else. I don't recall. So now, I have a new question. I heard a noise in the back, and figured it was a rear dif issue, so I asked here. And it was suggested

| S60 centre console issues | 03 Feb 2008 01:57 GMT | 1 |
I have a S60R (and I love it!), however I have been dumb enough to put two pens in the flip lid compartment which have jammed themself into the flip lid recess section and now stop the lid from opening up completely and the pens are not wanting to come out.

| 240 - Flickering Dash Warning Lights. | 01 Feb 2008 01:21 GMT | 1 |
This started last night. I think it may be the alternator but thought I'd ask for some feedback. As I was driving, all of the dash warning lights started to pulsate (flicker dimly). The headlights seem to funtion normally and it starts OK. Runs and drives fine. So I drove home ...
