| 1995 850 Cassette Player | 30 Jun 2008 21:59 GMT | 4 |
In my 1995 850 Volvo sedan, the cassette player (I believe it is the original) whenever I put a tape in automatically switches from tape 1 to tape 2 and keeps switching back and forth and won't stop. Does anyone have any idea why or how to fix this?

| Re-wiring rear hatch 1986 240 DL | 30 Jun 2008 16:06 GMT | 3 |
Once again the wires going through the hinges of my 240 DL wagon are shot. I am trying to determine if there is a better way to re-wire the thing. 1) I could replace the wiring harnesses through the hinges and look forward to doing so again in 5 - 7 years. Or 2) rig some sort of

| '82 Diesel Timing Belt/Head | 28 Jun 2008 14:48 GMT | 3 |
Well, the timing belt broke. Took off the valve cover off and, um, the cam was in five pieces. I heard somewhere this substantially reduces power. The head is toast. The cam carriers busted off and there is coolant seeping everywhere. Since this happened just off of idle, I've

I'm thinking of replacing my 1995 850 GLT non-turbo with a 1998 S80 T5 automatic. What problems should I look for in the T5? The T5 has 144K on it. What standard maintenance should be done at that mileage? Thanks

| Overheating | 24 Jun 2008 23:46 GMT | 11 |
My 1990 240 overheated yesterday, the needle just climbing to the bottom of the red zone on the temp gauge in stop and go traffic. On the highway at 60 mph the temp would drop down almost to normal. When I got home I looked under the hood and saw indications of boiling coolant ...

| Perfectly Running 240 Wagon Just Stopped Working Tonight! | 23 Jun 2008 23:56 GMT | 23 |
Hi! My beautiful 1993 240 wagon just stopped tonight, and I can't figure out what could be the problem. Funnily enough, I'd just been thinking earlier in the day how beautifully it's been running, which held true right up until the moment it simply stopped running!

| harmonic balancer | 22 Jun 2008 18:42 GMT | 3 |
The rubber has degraded in the harmonic balancer on my B230FT, the timing mark has slipped about 30 degrees and I know it's just a matter of time before the sections separate entirely. I've seen new OEM brand ones available in the $130 range and aftermarket for about half that.

| 740 - random stalling | 22 Jun 2008 01:12 GMT | 5 |
For some unexplained reason my '91 740 wagon has quit on me twice in the last month. Both times I was coasting to a stop to a red light and then all of the dash board lights came on and the car quit. I couldn't immediately restart it (engine cranked-over but didn't start). ...

| Can a fuel pre-heater improve MPG? | 19 Jun 2008 06:22 GMT | 9 |
I saw an article on internet saying that if one adds a fuel pre-heater on the fuel line ahead of the fuel rail, it improves mileage by increasing the combustion efficiency. Its easy to do on my 740 or nearly any car, you could just bend a long piece of copper tubing into

| Can I Replace Antenna on 1993 240 Wagon? | 18 Jun 2008 23:05 GMT | 8 |
Hi! I have a 1993 240 wagon, which I cherish. This wagon has a stationary antenna, the kind that screws on and off the mount. A few weeks ago I discovered that not only had someone stolen the antenna, but, in addition, instead of simply unscrewing it, they had wrenched
