Just to prove a point19 Dec 2003 11:48 GMT40
It has been said here by some that I might better apply myself to
digging into a problem before asking questions. I do plead guilty to
wanting to learn about any Handy Hintz before opening the Wonderbus and
getting my tit in a wringer. But that pertains to mechanical issues - I
Axial play in distributor normal?19 Dec 2003 11:24 GMT6
Finishing touches on engine....    installed the rotor and I can move
it around 10 degrees with zero resistance. Then 10 more degrees with some
resistance.
There is also a very distinct 'clunk' at the end of the zero resistance

the Netherlands we call it "jetpipe":

Bus 9 prong help needed19 Dec 2003 03:21 GMT1
Here's the issue with Hazards;  I don't have any, with the ignition switch
off I pull the Hazard switch and nothing.  With the Ignition switch on the
Hazard switch light will flash.  Nothing blinks front or back.  Turn signals
work like they should.  I tried another 9 prong box and ...
Tip of the Ramva Hat19 Dec 2003 01:44 GMT1
Just wanted to thank fellow ramva member Tim Rogers for helping me get my Vdub
back on the road.  My generator was fried, and Tim sent me one at a very
reasonable price....FREE. I did test the old one with a voltmeter, and it was
only putting out 4 volts.     As soon as the weather ...

Help Troubleshoot Rear Window Defroster18 Dec 2003 17:15 GMT23
'71 Super rear window defroster problems. PO has disconnected the wiring to
the dash mounted switch, so obviously it's not going to work now, but before
I tear into it further:
What should the resistance be (if any) between the two 1/4" spade posts on
Time-limited question18 Dec 2003 15:32 GMT2
I'll be leaving in an hour to take the kids to school, and will be
visiting my FLAPS on the way home to pick up some bits. If you are
reading this after 7 AM Pacific California time, then I'll be out of
there. If you are reading this well before then, than maybe you can help

Pop out window18 Dec 2003 10:56 GMT4
I have a 74 sedan and I need to replaced the two little windows:
1) How do you take then out?
2) A good place to buy then.
                       Much oblige.
'71 RHD bus, unknown switch?18 Dec 2003 10:05 GMT7
I have two switches on the right hand side of the steering wheel mounted
on the dash. One is the headlights. The other is a pull out type with two
positions (in or out) and no twisty action. It's got a strange symbol on
it, kind of like a windscreen wiper, but my wiper control is ...

OT: Reset Speedo18 Dec 2003 04:31 GMT9
This isn't actually about a VW but I think that the concept would be the
same. My Citroen 2CV I recently got has a KPH speedo that I want to replace
with a MPH one. I have obtained a MPH speedo and it is showing 69,000 miles
right now. Like a VW one it rolls over at 100,000 miles. ...
