clunking sound17 Dec 2003 23:56 GMT6
My wife's '60 rag on a '68 pan has developed an intermittent "clunking" sound
coming from either the trans or the axles. There is no noise when the car is
not moving and the engine is running so the problem would appear to not be
coming from the engine. The trans shifts through all ...

Opinions on JBugs?17 Dec 2003 21:52 GMT9
I'm considering purchasing one of JBugs interior kits. According to the
catalog I received from them, they're using TMI products in their kits.
Anyone have any firsthand experience on their quality? Customer service?
Thanks!

76 S/Beetle carb question17 Dec 2003 16:02 GMT1
Hey group,
I yanked the H30/31PICT carb off my 76 Super Bug and begin rebuilding the
carb. I guess my 45 year old eyes were not sharp enough to pick up the
markings on the two jets that screw into the Right side of the carb body and

Does anyone know if Regular gasoline Can be used?
I've tried both Plus and Premium grade gasolines and found that while
Plus works fine, Premium Does make the engine run smoother and
quicker.

Heat Risers17 Dec 2003 02:01 GMT2
My 66 1600cc VW Bug has been having problems in the cold recently.  It
has a tendency to stumble from 1st and 2nd gear and overall sluggish
performance until it is fully warmed up.  I've changed the carb, put
new plugs (gapped at .70mm), adjusted the timing and replaced the
