Hi. How do you guys recommend mounting or quieting a loud fuel pump? I have a previously fuel injected '76 bug, which is why there is an electic pump. It's mounted to the frame behind my front right wheel, and it drives me nuts with its constant ticking.

I got by 71 bus back from the mechanic today, but ended up driving it home without the rear apron installed (they forgot to leave the bolts for me). I noticed it seemed pretty hot when I got home (dipstick too hot to hold). My feeling is that it's because the rear apron wasn't

I need to purchase a rust-preventive coating. I know everyone swears up and down about POR-15. However being the anal analytical person that I am, I checked around for proof, and looking for the best product for the money ($32 a quart is NOT considered cheap for me.

The thrust cam-bearings, have no tabs to prevent them from rotating in the case. Is a special trick needed create these tabs without destroying the bearings and case, or should I just punch them in position (in an old case) to bend them and create the tabs?

I have 72 SP which the drivers side head become lose on. It sounded like I had glass packs on the thing. Anyway I had the bottom bolts tighten and for now things are fine. The engine is only 2 to 3 years old. What would cause the heads to become lose? Over heating? I'm sure ...
