I've read in a technical article from VWTrends about the 3M Roloc Bristle Discs to remove paint from the metal. They remove the paint, but leave the metal unharmed. Has anybody used those discs? do they work? thanks

On my '71 Super Beetle, I need to replace the window "latch/lock". In order to properly replace this, I need to remove the wing window glass to gain access to the rivets. Anyone have any tips for getting the glass out (short of a hammer?!)?
