Stripped oil plate studs31 Dec 2003 01:27 GMT5
Any one know which oversized replacement studs I need to order for the oil
sump plate?  Is it 8x6x31mm, 8x6x23mm, 10x8x35mm or 10x8x38?  Any help would
be greatly appreciated..... 2 of them stripped out in the case and it leaks
real bad now.  The PO must have torqued them down too ...

Does anyone have a REASONALBE re-choming guy they can recommend?  I took my
vert latches, vert grab handles, and rearview mirror to the local chroming
place around here and they guy called me today and told me the pirce was
$687 !!  Does that sound reasonable???  they're already in ...

Hello fellow dubbers ... most of the beetle one piece window kits I've seen
advertised mention they require a "late model window regulator" ... would I
be correct to assume that would be '68 and up? TIA for the help.

Engel cam? This bus has dual Kadrons, I suspect that doesn't make any
difference. Cam might not, either -- what do I know?
At present, it idles at around 1100 rpm when warm.

Hello.Does anyone know for sure if the calipers for Ghias,say 66 to 72,can
be used on a 72 bus?They sure look the same except for a second bleeder.I
