Heat Riser Hell27 Dec 2003 17:19 GMT7
I took my muffler off and tried the clutch cable suggestion on http://www.geocities.com/aussiebug1970/heatriser.html
It was a no-go.  My hands were bleeding from trying to push the cable through the ends.  They are CLOGGED.  So, I gave in and removed the manifold and started ...

OT: Rice for the budget minded :o) 27 Dec 2003 15:32 GMT2
If you just lost your fast food job at Taco Barf, and  spend all of your money
on crack, you can still drive a cool vehicle with very little money.    Click
on the link to see how to drive a hip vehicle without having to pay much or
anything  for it.

Can somebody tell me how I can remove (disolve) the black crusty deposits in
my 1955 Oval fuel tank? I have removed manualy already 1.3kg!!! Now there is
still a lot in the tank (some of it sticks to the surface). I've tried to
disolve the rest using thinner, methylalcohol, kitchen ...

Fuel injection vs. Carburetion 79 AZ emissions27 Dec 2003 01:36 GMT2
I have a 79 Super Beetle with a dead engine.  Anyway, I'm in the process of
re-doing the engine.  I would like to get a little more power out of the
motor but I'm concerned about the strict Arizona emissions standards.  Has
anyone faced a problem like this before?  I'm concerned ...
Rear Shock Absorber Question27 Dec 2003 01:07 GMT2
Hi Everyone & Merry Christmas...
I just installed a set of new Bilstein shocks on the Beetle, but I am
drawing a blank....should the lower shock mounting bolts rest on the rubber
bushing, or should they have a washer in between? I don't recall there being
Johnson bars/Baja suspension26 Dec 2003 23:42 GMT1
I am looking for an after market part (a pair actually) that is for
stabilizing a reduction gear bus transaxle in a Baja bug conversion.
They may have been made by a company called Johnson and may have been
called "anti-hop" or "anti-stutter" bars. The pair that are on have
Scat Engine Cooling26 Dec 2003 19:23 GMT2
Hey everyone happy holidays,
I picked up my new VW about a week ago. It's a beautiful 1967 which
has had a partial body conversion to look older (50's fenders, lights,
rear apron, rear decklid, control knobs), a bit of a strange idea (not
Ignition Noise Picked Up by Radio - Revisited26 Dec 2003 14:29 GMT1

about the porblem.  I tried most but did not suceed in getting rid of the
noises (Cracking static type, change with rev).
Well, I think now I should perhaps try to do this from another perspective
