My 86-year-old dad ordered a replacement gas tank for his 63 beetle from the big Chicago mail order outfit. I put it in his car the other week with absolutely no problem, except the throat on the new tank is SMALLER than that of the original tank and the GAS

Problem: When sitting at a light I usually hold the clutch in. I happened to let the clutch out the other day at the light with the car in neutral and I started getting a groaning sound and the car started to edge forward. I check to make sure I was in neutral and even shifted ...

| Doesn"t anyone make vw sized tires anymore? | 25 Dec 2003 16:49 GMT | 31 |
I'm trying to buy some new tires for my wife's 79 Super Beetle, to go on the new 5.5X15 stock wheels I've purchased as a Christmas gift. Several trips to several different tire dealers has turned up absolutely NO choices available. A quick call to JBugs where I bought the rims and I ...

| New Year's Chat | 25 Dec 2003 08:16 GMT | 3 |
I realize by seeing my name most of you won't even bother reading this but you should if you plan to go to the New Year's Eve chat. Last night Bill B tried to connect to Undernet.org and join me in the ramva room. The site wouldn't connect him. I had the same problem quite often so ...

I'm in the process of looking for replacement tires for my stock oval. Want to go with bias rather than radial and wide whites (2 3/4 inch) I know Coker is the typical outlet for vintage tires, but their prices seem really high and selection really small. Is there an alternative in ...

| Type 1 Seats | 24 Dec 2003 17:25 GMT | 27 |
I have a 1970 1200cc Type 1. I wondered if anyone had any ideas as to what seats from which cars might be able to fit into my bug with little/no modification. I'm from the UK so it would have to be cars built for the uk market. I was hoping to be able to salvage some from a salvage ...
