A while back I asked how to remove the needle bearings that are in the tubes
of the front axle in a Bug. Someone told me that he just pushed them deeper
into the tube and inserted new ones  in front of them. Well who ever told me
that must have a different beam than I do. there ...

how unsafe is it to do away with the trunk
release cable in the glove box on a 78 vert?

Quick and easy question...what's the easiest way to remove the dust cap
from the front axles? The Bentley shows a special tool, and I have
generally pried with a combo of screwdrivers and large pliers, BUT I

I have posted here in the past trying to determine why my 74 1800 was
leaking so much oil. Did everything I could and still leaked.
I go put a new 2000 long block in last week and damn it, still leaking.
(Concentrated on the oil filter and cooler. THe pass side of engine stayed

I plan to sheetmetal in the back windows to give it a sedan delivery
look and I want to cut off the drip edge. Does anyone know what

I having this fun little problem with my '78 westy. When I try to start it,
it will fire then die, if I try again the same thing will happen. After two
times that's it, it will only turn over. Any ideas?

I am thinking about buying a 73 super beetle fixer upper... Its not in
running condition right now .. Its about 300 miles away from my house I own
a tow dolly, (2 rear wheels still on the ground) Do you guys think it would
be ok to tow it for 300 miles in neutral with the 2 rear ...

When the New Beetle came out, we thought that it might increase the
interest in Aircooleds and raise the values.  Instead all we got was a
kick in the A** from VWoA.  I wonder if it will be cool to drive an
Aircooled after Lindsay Lohan drives one in the movie.
