Any idea where I can get a set?
Couple of brake questions...15 Jul 2005 04:51 GMT7
I've got some brand spanking new (after quite the wait; Nancy at OVW got
one unloaded set and one garbage set she wouldn't sell, so it was for
good reason) varga calipers I'm just itching to put on my Ghia.  My
question is, should I apply brake grease anywhere and if so, where?  ...
Beetle steering15 Jul 2005 00:09 GMT2
Who knows how many turns of the steering wheel there should be from side to
side in a Beetle with worm and roller steering? I don't see it in the
Bentley or Muir. I'm trying to do a few adjustments after a front end
accident. I've replaced the right side tie rod (complete) and ...
68' VW Bus Heater Question14 Jul 2005 04:20 GMT2
Just acquired a 68' Westy. Restored body and paint, rebuit engine and
many other upgrades. Of course, as one would expect, the heater smells
like exhaust. As I am not going to drive the vehicle in the colder
months, I really don't need the heat, so I don't want to spend the
Regulator Whine14 Jul 2005 03:40 GMT1
My '71 Super is exhibiting strange behavior. It won't idle and there is a
loud high pitched whine which sounds like it is coming from the voltage
regulator. Both problems appeared when I took the car out of storage last
week. I don't know that they are related but the whine it ...

oil leak13 Jul 2005 15:16 GMT2
I've had a leak under my engine for a long time and been unable to find
the source untl now.  I cleaned the engine bottom and let it set for a
couple of weeks.  The only oil drops are from the plug in the case to
the right of the oil pump.  Anyone had this problem or a simple fix ?
Headliner Padding (was headliner padding substitutes)13 Jul 2005 12:43 GMT6
Following getting something suitable for this, I have started cutting peices
to match the old bits I'd kept.
However I don't have all of the old bits as some were rotten, so I really
need to check a couple of bits.

Flat or dished cam, how can you tell?12 Jul 2005 06:41 GMT1
Hi guys, my question is a simple one, is there a way to tell from the
outside (or by removing the oil pump) if an engine has a flat or dished cam?
My engine is a stock 1300 with a mexican block, brazilian oil pump and all
sort of replaced parts, so I don't even know what exactly ...
