I went to the VW shop and asked for some good tranny oil for my 69 Ghia. They sold me two bottle of 80W Redline synthetic oil. I asked about it being 80W since VWs use 90W. They said the 80W synthetic is fine. Are they telling the truth or just selling what they have? I'm ...

I'm finding conflicting info as to which shoes fit the front and rear of the Thing. One seouce lists the rear axle as using the same shoes as the '60 to '63 Bus. Another says that the Thing uses the same shoes the '65 to '74 Beetle and Ghia. One auto parts store lists the Bendix ...

I'm going to buy new stock rims 15 5.5" to replece my old 4.5" with 165 tires. Do you think that the best tires (not wide) size to fit the new rims are 185/65/15? Can I get to 150KM/h (93.75 Miles/h) with good handling with these tires? I don't drive at that Speed is just to check ...

has any one any suggestions for tracing where water is getting into my 1999 passat estate. It is only in the rear passenger footwell behind drivers seat but is very wet to the extent of puddling even when car is stationary in rain.

I need to know approximately how much a stock based head needs to be flycut, to reduce chamber volume by 5cc's. The combustion chmaber "tub" is almost stock shaped, just a bit wider.
