Gasoline Heaters12 Aug 2005 19:32 GMT3
Found a VW "Junkyard" today . I am thinking about getting one to turn into a
Baja . It is a 66 with a gasoline heater, there is also a spare heater in
the back seat.  How much are gas heaters going for ? They are complete and
they want $100 for the whole car minus the engine.

Gentlemen,
Here's a knotty little problem for you to chew on...
About 12 years ago, I bought an unfinished 1970 baja project.  The
seller decided to move on to Corvettes.
Blaupunkt Radios12 Aug 2005 03:50 GMT2
I have been bidding /watching a used early 80's blue dot radio to put
in my 74 bug. I can't believe the thing ended up selling for almost
$80! Add shipping & its almost $100. I think that is crazy! Why are
these old radios so valuable?

Engine Drop11 Aug 2005 22:38 GMT20
Hey All,
I've been a long time lurker and now a first time poster.  I've been reading
ramva on and off since '98 and thought it about time to post and introduce
myself.  I live in Seattle and bought a '66 vert (yukon rust colored) that

68' Westy Front Door Alignment11 Aug 2005 21:19 GMT10
This is a problem I have posted before. I utilized some of the
suggestions offered here, but........
After aligning the doors vertically so the latches align and the top
and/or bottom of the doors don't rub, the doors now rub towards the
Swing Axle or Independent ?11 Aug 2005 06:37 GMT1
If you had a choise of either of these for a daily driver or a Baja daily
driver which would you pick ?
I have a guy that has both for sale and he asked me which I wanted. I am
considering making it into a baja licensed for the street.

Greetings, all,
So after a couple year hiatus, I'm back with another question.  I've
decided to burn in my engine I'm building out of the bus, and need some
ideas on how to construct an engine stand that will hold the fully
paint shop in New York? 10 Aug 2005 05:59 GMT2
I'm looking for a GOOD auto painter in the Hudson Valley area. $$ is not the
issue - I'm looking for a quality shop that will do a restoration level
paint job.  Anyone have any ideas?  Thanks in advance - David
Speedo Cables ?10 Aug 2005 01:12 GMT4
My 67' fiberglass buggy is eating speedo cables like crazy. I go through 3-4
in a good summer. What might I be doing wrong ? Maybe routing ? Although I
don't have any tight bends in the cable.
Thanks,
Door hinge pins on Super Beetle10 Aug 2005 00:02 GMT1
Do they come out the top or the bottom?  I'm going to make a press to
get them out but didn't want to shove them out the wrong way.  I lube the
hell out of one hinge and it keeps getting so tight I'm afraid I'll start
cracking the body around the hinge.
