| Need help verifying part no. on VW Type 4 head | 09 Aug 2005 13:47 GMT | 6 |
Some time ago, on ebay, I bought a pair of NOS type 4 heads. The part no. is 211 101 351A. It is my limited understanding that the early 411 Volksies, although they had a type 4 engine, used a different head from the early 70s

| Top for '69 Karmann Ghia Convert | 08 Aug 2005 18:00 GMT | 1 |
I'm replacing the top for my Karmenn Ghia Convert. The old owner had taken the back window out, and I'm guessing it was glass. I see that Jbugs sells tops. They state that at 1969 1/2 there started to be a glass window. Apparently it was designed to fold down with the top.

| Gas Tank | 06 Aug 2005 18:37 GMT | 4 |
How can you tell the difference between a NOS gas tank and a repro? I have a line on a tank that is new(never used) but the seller does not know if it is a real german tank or a repro. It is for a 61-67 beetle. He says that it looks just like the one for his 63 beetle. Are the

I changed my generator with one that I had when I changed my wife's buggy to an alternator. I did the test from speedy Jim's site ( http://www.nls.net/mp/volks/htm/gen.htm ) and was wondering it says, "As you increase the engine speed, the voltage should jump up to +35 volts or ...

I have heard different things. Will a standard 1 din stereo from the store (kenwood, pioneer, etc) fit into the standard dash slot on a 1969 Ghia? Some say it fits fine. Others say it almost fits but the 4 corners of the slot have to be filed just slightly. Others say the fit
