Replaced generator with built in regulator and connected all three hot
wires with grey together and the blue to the green and that didn't seem
to fix the problem. soc can someone give me easy steps on how to fix
this. thanks

I didn't think I'd have such a hard time trying to figure out how to
remove the radio on a 1974 Super. I've checked the archives, and it
looks like I need a radio removal tool (wire hanger), but not sure how
I'd use it. Any help? Thanks.

Is there any reason why one couldn't put a standard carb on each side in a
twin setup ?  would be loads cheaper that a proper twin setup !

I was wondering what type of oil to use in these cold day's.
I still have the 'summer' oil in the sump which is never refreshed.
I know it's not a wise thing but i only needed to top it once a while :)

This is for all VW people in the New York,New jersey area. Has anyone
ever checked out the abandoned VW in the woods alongside the Southbound
lanes of the NY Thruway? The car is between milepost 78.8 and 78.9,

Generator to alternator G warning light stays on, Please help23 Jan 2006 18:43 GMT6
I have a 72 super beetle and I've been having problems with the
generator warning light staying on and discharging of the battery. I
changed the generator to a alternator with built in regulator and have
the same problem with the light. I took the old regulator out of the
