I can not get my rail buggy to go into 1st or 3rd gear with out it grinding and the shift rod moving forward. This is a 5 rib tranny sedan trany I was told. gear pattern is 1 3

That is, remove the air-cooled internal combustion engine and replace with an electric drive motor, battery pack, charger, and associated controls. Anybody ever done it? What were the results? Are there sources for conversion kits?

I am in the process of fixing up a '68 bus. I thought I read somwhere a few months ago that the insulation around the heater pipe (underneath bus) is wrapped in Asbestos. Is that true?
