| VW upright engine question | 30 Apr 2007 13:38 GMT | 3 |
I just bought a kit car based on a VW pan with an upright 1600 [?] engine. The seller didn't know anything about the engine, stock[?], crank[?], etc. although it does have dual Webers. So I'm going to start all over and have an engine built for the car.

| Fenders, taillights, apron, bumper, jack | 29 Apr 2007 09:14 GMT | 1 |
I'm gonna toss these up on Samba probably this week but I thought I'll see if anyone here needed them before I did. I'm in New Hampshire so probably you'd want to be from New England, otherwise shipping could be a killer. I have just removed these from my '68 Bug:

| How much epoxy primer for body shell | 28 Apr 2007 11:44 GMT | 2 |
I will be spraying epoxy primer on my 71 body this weekend, but have no clue how much paint I need. Since this stuff is expensive, I don't want to mix more than required to do the job. Anyone have a ballpark figure on how much paint to mix for just the exterior body shell, minus ...

I made an additional phone call and my problem was resolved 100%. They sent me a replacement windshield without having to examine the first one that arrived scratched up. I can't ask for better treatment, and I'll stay a loyal customer for as long as I need VW Bug and Vanagon ...

I'm just trying to get my '70 KG ready for my safety inspection so I can register and license it here (was bought out-of-state). I've figured out most of the electrical gremlins but one still persists. My right (pass.) side running lights don't work. I've tried changing out the ...

I'm installing a brake line in my 72 standard, the one that goes from the master cylinder to the rear. The original had been replaced with two pieces held together with a compression fitting. I cut the thing when I replaced the floorpan by accident. Would anyone have a picture

I've got a recently-purchased '75 campermobile that seems just fine until it gets warmed up -- and then it loses power under acceleration. I didn't notice the problem when I first bought it but after driving it about 100 miles I first noticed the problem starting going around

| License light wire access | 23 Apr 2007 15:11 GMT | 4 |
My license plate light has not worked in the 4 years I've owned my car. State inspection is coming up and it's time I got around to fixing it before my luck runs out. I cleaned up the wires in the engine bay but it still doesn't work. I need to check the connections

| need to measure valve/piston clearance? | 23 Apr 2007 14:12 GMT | 1 |
I'm building up a 1776 engine. This is my first experience bulding up a non-stock motor. The cam that I've selected has a lift at the cam of .380 and a lift with 1.1 rocker arms of .417. The heads were stock before being bored out for the 90.5 cylinders, and I've checked my

| Stronger gearbox options. | 22 Apr 2007 23:58 GMT | 7 |
What are the options for stronger transmissions? I have a 1975 beetle with transaxle gearbox. I have a 300hp motor and after only 20 or so miles, the gearbox had enough. Hewland gearboxes are ridiculously expensive, so don't bother mentioning those. Rancho gearboxes seem a
