Long ago, in a newsgroup far, far away... oh, wait -- it was in this

There was once a great webpage maintained by a RAMVAite who may remain
anonymous if he so desires... that page had links to other websites
RAMVA charter30 Jul 2007 23:41 GMT1
Just a reminder...
The RAMVA charter can be reviewed at http://vwfilms.net/ramvachr.html.
Not that we've had anything of late requiring reference to the
charter... I was just working on a style revision to VW-F-V and

I have a sandrail, 1776 turbo with a swingaxle. The swingaxle has been acting
up a bit this year, being difficult to put into reverse (usually it takes a
brisk throw of the shifter, plus holding it in place, and eventually it still
pops out of reverse). It's also had a few ...

VW Considering leaving the U.S. Market?27 Jul 2007 16:50 GMT9
Saw this article on Autoblog and it is been on a couple of other
sites.  Guess that means that there would be no more VWoA.   Guess
that would put a lot of VWoA lawyers out of work too.  Click on link
for article and read the comments towards the bottom too.
Front axle beam26 Jul 2007 01:30 GMT6
I finally had the time to check out my front end (76 standard beetle)
Was not pleased with my findings. Both shock towers are almost rusted
away, beam is fine. I would feel better replacing the whole beam
though. I have searched the forum and found a post about someone
engine pull toughness scale 1 to 1025 Jul 2007 04:42 GMT13
I am considering taking the engine out to have new valves and springs taken
care of.  The engine pops through the exhaust when it is warm and looses all
power.
I am ok with my hands, I can build things, I have replaced water pumps in

the starter will enguage most times. Although it is getting more and more
reluctant to work this way.
Last fall I replaced the ignition switch, but seems to work the same.

I'm driving a 1996 Mexican made Volkswagen 1600i (aircooled of course) and
the inside rear view mirror which is sticked to the windscreen in those
newer beetles fell off. No problem I thought, made a hole in the roof liner
above the windscreen and tried to fix an original interior ...
