I gave my car some TLC on a beautiful day. A good time was had by all. My 71 SB is about 99% original. The radio is not stock, but I think that's about it. http://members.cox.net/reverendturd/Cat_Comics/Photos.html

I own a '68 Volkswagon automatic bug and need new tires. The tire size is 165R/15, but they've discontinued that tire size and people at Firestone & Goodyear shops couldn't tell me what size tire I needed. Can someone recommend a replacement size?

| Proper alternator mounting tin orientation? | 28 Jun 2008 02:44 GMT | 2 |
I am replacing my alternator. After attaching the new one to the mounting tin(the circular part with 4 ears for attaching screws, between the alternator and the fan) and preparing to bolt it to the doghouse, I noticed a vent along one edge. Obviously I did not notice this ...

| Quick Fix | 27 Jun 2008 04:51 GMT | 13 |
Today my son and I wired a ford selnoid as his vw was having a hard time starting. Very simple and cheap, under $10.00 and about 15 min work...I can't believe just how well this works. I've seen others do this before but never tried it myself. I know many object to

I have a 1969 Beetle Chassis with a Fiberglass Kit Car on top. The kit is a CMC 1929 Mercedes. Last night I found a fuel leak in the fuel line exiting the tube and going to the engine. I was a piece of 1/4" copper tubing with a pinched section and it was dripping fuel. I

On my last post a few weeks ago, I was thinking of getting this pretty nice '73 Karmann-Ghia but I decided against it and got a '67 Beetle. It was rebuilt about 8,000 miles ago and it now has a 1600 from the early 70's. Well, I was about to load up the family for an evening ...

| hot engines | 24 Jun 2008 17:52 GMT | 1 |
You guys who know me, know what I think of thermostats and flaps. I won't start a war or offend the " flap Gods" I hope but yesterday a good friend of mine stopped in with a very hot 68 van. He had checked timing etc. I put my hand to the back of the shroud and sure enough

| Looking for engine part(s) | 24 Jun 2008 03:04 GMT | 2 |
I'm trying to rebuild a 1776 cc type I engine, and I need one or two piston and cylinder sets to match CB Performance Part #1052 (90.5 X 69 mm), and I'm trying NOT to have to buy a full set of four. Does anybody know where I can buy one or two NEW CB #1052 P&C sets?
