In Dallas/Fort Worth. I sold my last ACVW this week.(age and health forced the issue) I have a few bits and parts. A few gen sets and alternators, a lot of cooling tin, some heads, two single port rebuilt and a HD starter.

What kind of home made sleeve tool can I make that does not require welding to install the tranny input shaft seal? I was thinking of a flat washer just a little smaller diameter as the input shaft seal and a short piece of pvc pipe and a rubber mallet.

I,m just overhauling my spare 32-34 PDSIT,s. I dont want to reassemble with all dry bearing surfaces but thought mineral oil would probably evaporate in no time flat with all the petrol vapours around. What,s the consensus, use mineral oil, silicon oil ?, dust with molybdenum ?.
