I thaught I lost all pictures of this 64 beetle untill Myers showed me
it was on the samba still
This car was bought in calf. thinking it was original and in good

I just did another valve adjustment and the new gasket leaked. What is
the best way to ensure it won't leak.
soak the gasket first, buy other than cork ? any ideas, group?

I keep getting this recording that says; My auto warrantee has most
likely expired and I must hurry to extend it. They always say it's my
second notice , while in truth they've called a dozen times.

Discovered my distributor drive gear was assembled as per a Beetle ( offset
more or less at right angles to camshaft)  rather than at ~60Deg  for my
Type 3. Ran out of adjust on timing because vacuum Can hits Fuel pump.
 Pleasant morning thinks I. Pull the Dist/Fuel pump out, ...

Mallory distributor and electronic ignition under the cap.
Suddenly the Bug is running on two cylinders. No spark for two.
Everything under the cap looks just fine. Clean as new. So, before I pop
for new innards, let me have it - anything known to go futz in these

polish job.  But I am wondering about the techniques of cleaning up

The other night I heard there was a terrible crash up near me.  The person
