Cash for Clunkers28 Jul 2009 23:44 GMT11
Now I know how to get rid of the pristine 1972 Beetle! I'm gonna use it
as a Cash for Clunkers to get another cheap-a.s vehicle that starts,
runs year around in Minnesota, does not whine, break down out of nowhere.
$4200 bucks! Why, thats about what I have into it!

Now this is what I call a project car. It may take a while for all of
the photos to load. About the only thing remaining that is VW is the
highly modified body. I doubt if the engine goes fweem.

Fuel Pump Flange08 Jul 2009 12:58 GMT1
Just noticed the new Fuel Pump flanges I bought have quite a bit of free
play with my old push rod. Did the Mexicans/Brazilians change the diameter
of pushrod  or is it just lousy manufacturing?. There is enough side to side
gap I,d wonder if I,d do some damage using it. The ...
Should I Add a Zinc Oil Additive?05 Jul 2009 03:51 GMT11
I was reading on this group about zinc being removed from today's
motor oil.
...something about that this causes wear in pre-1989 engines with flat
lifters.

Help needed. Fitting fan shroud to new case04 Jul 2009 04:55 GMT4
I know there is some trimming involved.  I have trimmed some of the

can narrow down for me exactly where to trim.  Maybe filing the case
is necessary.  I just have a longblock, and started putting the tin
