Old time RAMVITE here, from waaaay back! Opinions, please...my solonoid is acting up on my original German '71 beetle starter. Motor is fine but the solonoid will get 'stuck' about 4 times a year. Time for a change, so do I -

OK, let's see if we chalk up another big goof to me. I had a Mallory distributor with electronic ignition module in storage for years. I installed it. It worked. I went on a drive and it was great. THEN I found the instructions that indicate that I was to have a ballast

I'm restoring a 1971 super convertable, that a previous owner has butchered. When they gutted the interior, they took most of the wiring out as well. What's got me stumped is the voltage regulator.

about 30 mph. I'd check steering damper. tie rod ends , bent wheel and wheel bearing adjustment. Haven't the S.B's had this problem before?

I've owned numerous pairs of moccasins.They have various types of bottoms,crepe,double leather,hardsole,softsole ect.Most will last me 3-4 years.Just use common sense.For instance never wear softsole outdoors when it's raining or snowing.I know they have UGG like boots

My friend replaced a generator (dog house) and then had a terrible howling, scream. esp. as the RPM's picked up. he claimed it made no such rubbing noise when hand spun during installation.

So, to change subjects, I got a free vw today. 71 std. someone was going to make a back half trailer out of it, so its cut almost in half. All that wasnt cut was about 2 inches of the tunnel. You should have seen the roof flapping in the wind going down the interstate at 75 ...

Saturday I was driving a 1952 MGtd that has been barned 15 yrs ago. tomorrow I go look at a 1943??? beetle . How much more fun can it be. another new project that looks like its going on the wait list is a 62 standard.
