I have a 2001 VW Jetta with a 2.0 liter engine. After the "check engine" light came on, I took it to the local VW dealership here in Southern California. They ran some diagnostics and told me that the ignition coil has cracked and needs to be replaced.

I need to replace a leaking matrix on a Mk 2 Scirocco. The procedure in Haynes is to remove the centre consoles, then remove the heater housing, blower fan, and matrix as a complete unit. However, the matrix is just a slide fit into the housing, and it doesn't actually say

What is the VW factory/shop work-time for a scheduled ATF, filter and gasket change on a 096 type (CNK code) automatic transmission? I've had quotes from some local VW dealers and specialists which vary from GBP95 to GBP208. The major difference must be the labour time...

i have a 98 jetta gl and the down position for the wipers does nothing. both speeds up on the the lever work fine. is it the switch? and if so how hard is it to fix?

The front seats of my new Touareg V10 are only 48 cm wide, which is too narrow (or I am too big ;-) What would be a proper replacement? Btw., Cayenne comfort seats are 51 cm and sport seats 53 cm. Do they fit? Hannu
