| All Passat's recalled - axle trouble | 14 May 2004 22:15 GMT | 6 |
All Passats * made after 1996 are being recalled to have work done to the front axles, apparently they are dangerous....I've only had sketchy reports on BBC news24 and can't find any mention of it on the VW site - does anyone know the details of it?

| Jetta AC no longer cool.... | 14 May 2004 15:41 GMT | 2 |
It seems my AC has quit. Blower still works, there is still a belt on the compressor...What are the first few things I should check before taking my 89 Jetta 16v to an Air conditioning shop? Any fuses/relays cause the system to top cooling? Otherwise: $$$!!!

| MK1 rear brake advice | 14 May 2004 09:05 GMT | 12 |
Just failed the MOT on my 1990 MK1 Cabrio. The left hand rear brake is only working half as well as the right hand side. I've got the drum and shoes in front of me and need a second opinion! The shoes are only about 30% worn, the drum has a few minor scores in it but nothing

| VW is trying to screw me. | 14 May 2004 04:21 GMT | 3 |
About 3 months ago I noticed what seemed to be "abnormal" wearing of the bottom cushion and bottom-side bolsters on the driver's side seat of my 02' GTi. I reported it to the dealer, who told me that they couldn't do anything with it, and that it would need to be examined by the ...

I bought an R-134 conversion kit that has the new Schroeder valves, however, I can't figure out where the high and low pressure valves are on my Jetta. If anyone has a picture of the location, it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks,

| new cd deck for '00 golf? | 13 May 2004 19:40 GMT | 5 |
A few months ago I bought a '00 golf. It has a casette deck with controls for a cd changer, but no changer. I only drive a few miles a day, so while I feel that it'd be nice to hear a cd, it's not worth $300 to put a changer in the trunk. I thought I'd just buy a new cd
