My mk3 Golf has developed an odd problem - the heating fans have stopped

three settings, nothing happens, but the fourth works fine (but is very
noisy and too much for a normal day!). Any clues? Dirty contacts on ...

While doing some work on my 86 Jetta, my friends and I debated the

Alright, just replaced the alternator..thanks to those that helped me.
Now it seems the starter is having problems.  It happened right as the
alternator went bad.  There is a hesitation when I turn the key and it
makes that strangled duck sound like the car is already on when it
Metal Coolant Tanks??09 May 2004 04:02 GMT4
I've got a problem with resivoir or coolant tanks cracking at the seams and
it's pissing me the f-off.. The reason this keeps happening is because my
turbo setup sprays super hot water from the turbo back into the plastic

I'm trying to troubleshoot an electrical problem in the AC system of a 94
Jetta GL (4 cyl 2.0).  For some reason, I don't see voltage at the relay.
The Bentley manual shows that voltage is supplied through a Fuse 23.
Does anyone know where I might find this Fuse 23?  I can't find ...

I've got the new alternator in the car but I'm having a brain fart

alternator, I only see 2 places where they could go.  I've got a
thicker wire and two others, a brown and a green.  The Bently manual

'03 Jetta hesitation on acceleration08 May 2004 22:49 GMT1
My daughter's 03 Jetta, 2.0 automatic occasionally and intermittently fails
to go when you press the accelerator.  There is a very perceptible lag in
the acceleration, enough that if you were rolling into traffic, and hit the
gas expecting to go, you would become very nervous about ...
