My 89 Mk II 16v is chucking out some pretty nasty smoke under
accelaration.  I have read about this before but I can't find it.

    I just bought a cabin air filter for our 2000 New Beetle Turbo.
Supposedly it mounts in a recess at the right side, rear edge of the hood
opening, inside the cowl/dash. I do not see anything resembling a place to put

So far, looking around at a variety of A2 Jettas and Jetta GLs, the only
difference I've been able to spot is that the couple of GLs I've seen had
automatic seat belts. Or is the automatic seat belt due to the model year
and not because it's a GL ? What other differences were there ...

I'm thinking about buying VW OEM alloy wheels from a 2004 Passat, and
putting them on a 2002 Passat.  Are the wheel sizes and offsets from these
two years identical?

My front wipers have started moving very slowly , so much to the point I
have to return them to park manually, is there a quick easy way to determine
if the motor or mechanism is faulty before spending my hard earned cash?
