We're going to be buying a new car and had long thought it would be a Prius.
Now we're pretty convinced to go with a Jetta TDI using BioDeisel. Before we
take the plung I've been researching a lot online. My only hesitation right
now is the poor reliability reports I keep seeing ...

Any suggestions on what's causing a front-end 'howling' noise on a 96
cabrio?  It's not the tires as rotating them did not change the sound.  It's
basically a low whine at speeds above about 10 mph.  It doesn't change with
engine RPM and is the same whether the clutch is in or out, ...

When I first open the door on my previous mk4 and now mk5 golf, There is a
noise like a relay.
Does anyone know what it is?

Just purchased a 1998 mk4 Golf 1.6se rev counter varies from 500 to 1200
for a minute after starting. Settles down but still a little lumpy.
also after revving does the same, whether engine cold or hot.
any ideas please

 My Passat has started leaking Power Sterring Fluid really bad.  I've
been looking at the prices for a rebuilt rack (ouch!).

the continuity on fuse checks out ok with 12v supply on it
i've serviced the main light switch and the icon bulb in the switch lights

I have a 2001 beetle. The cable spun off and the drivers side window doesn't
move. How do I get the inside panel off to replace (or repair) the cable?
I am hung up at the point where I need to remove the window clips, I think.

Said car has 80k miles and yesterday started misfiring bad upon startup (ran
fine two hours earlier).  Check engine light is flashing and emitting code
P0302 (engine misfire on cylinder 2).
Tried changing coil pack for # 2 cylinder --no help.

On my 02 GTI where is the temperature sensor for the digital  thermometer
located.  In other words where is the temperature reading taken from?

(number of turns) when it is screwed back in ? or do you just screw it

i have  a mk3 golf 1800 which has fitted the as standard built in
speakers to the doors,dash and rear. Each speaker unit has a bass and
treble unit so for eg rear right has a bass and a treble unit as does
the rear left,front right and front left etc.  Does anyone know what
