Mk 3 Golf (1997) Temperature Gauge and Heater30 Nov 2005 22:33 GMT2
Just over the past year I have noticed that my car's temperature gauge
behaves differently from what I have seen in the past few years. It has
always quickly warmed up to the Normal position and stayed there pretty
much rock solid regardless of the outside conditions. Now, if the ...

Re: Help. Radio in Safe Mode.30 Nov 2005 17:53 GMT3
Its so annoying when ur very new radio gave u " safe" instead of singing, and u cant  find any code anywhere on the manual. I guess the only sensible thing to do now is to calmly pull it out as quickly as I can and stump on it real good. The volkswagen premium audio which came ...
Jetta 01 1.8 lighter plug30 Nov 2005 14:32 GMT2
I just noticed today that my lighter plug is gone (no electricity to the
lighter or any of the chargers).
I wonder if there's anything to troubleshoot it (fuses, assembly) or
does it just mean that I suck it up and buy a new one.

What used to be under my hood (A2 Jetta)30 Nov 2005 02:30 GMT1
Was looking under the little bitty plastic shield under the hood, left side,
just in front of the windscreen; I think this shield makes rainwater go
somewhere other than down on the shelf the wiper motor sits on.
There are two little "studs" about 1/4" high and about 2" apart, looks ...

Want to check my timing, failed smog miserably. Car is a '91 GTI 8V, totally

1998 Jetta TDI diagrams or ideas30 Nov 2005 00:12 GMT1
1998 Jetta TDI, no start, no MIL, no glow indicator, replaced relay 109
(carry a spare), ECU load reduction relay. Bentley diagrams are not
representative of what I have found in the car for wiring/relays.
Does anybody have any alternative diagrams?

VW Passat 2004 1/2 Weird Windshield Wipers (aerotwin)29 Nov 2005 18:30 GMT1
Does anyone know how to find replacements for the "new style" aerotwin
Passat windshield wipers (other than the dealership, where it costs
about $100 !!!). I was not able to find any replacement for those (I
think the model is 925 or something like this, "aerotwin" in any case).
'89 Jetta fuel pump housing leaking29 Nov 2005 14:54 GMT3
Hey all,
Is it unusual for the fuel pump housing to be leaking?  I've scored a used
assembly for an '89 GLi 16V, with the accumulator/pump/filter/housing.  Any
warnings or tricks before I try to swap that out?  I have new rubber spacer

I have a VW 2002 Jetta 1.8T, last weekend I drove it out of town, I
