92 1.8L Jetta (RV Engine) - ignition problem driving me nuts...need help!31 Jul 2006 15:53 GMT4
I have a well-worn 92 Jetta with a 1.8L RV engine.  The car starts fine
and for the first ten minutes or so works flawlessly.  Once everything

doesn't seem to matter where the throttle is or how much load is
Was there an A2 wagon with a diesel engine?31 Jul 2006 08:53 GMT3
I like the 92 jetta sedan I have; would like a wagon more.  Want a diesel -
were they made in those years with that engine, and if so, when looking
for/at one, what should I be aware of?
'87 Scirocco 16V gas tank31 Jul 2006 08:46 GMT10
What's the capacity of the '87 16V Scirocco gas tank?  It was originally sold

I just did it again, and found a replacement tank, which claims a capacity of

thinking it's just that my bulbs (cheap: $5 each) are simply not

Goodbye VWm30 Jul 2006 19:40 GMT4
For those who don't know the new VWm is the last one. (Typically it was only
last month we renewed our subscription and I find it hard to believe that
last month when they asked for the money they didn't know this would be the
end.) It's quite a shame as it was a nicely balanced ...

Thanks for all the advice, in particular that from "old and brittle" Andrew,
because it looks like old and brittle is the problem.

VW Rabbit Diesel will not start after cylinder head was replaced - help29 Jul 2006 01:26 GMT2
I just completed installing a rebuilt cylinder head, timing belt, and
tensioner, in my 78 VW Rabbit Diesel.  The engine turns over, but will
not start.  It looks like a fuel delivery problem because there is no
smoke, or fuel smell.  According to the Bentley manual, the fuel system
VW Golf Parts Help!29 Jul 2006 01:05 GMT2
I have a Golf model GLX 1997 (made in Mexico) and I need to find a
rubber part that is used on the Gear Shift mechanism. It is a rubber at
the size and shabe of a golf ball with a hole in the middle. I know it
is a weird way to describe it, but the translation from the VW draw is
