I think the 1982 Caravelles/Transporters were the last VWs fitted with
air cooled engines.  I've noticed people selling the models just after
these ones (those with water cooled engines) often mention the engine
head.  (Things like, "Been reconditioned"...  "Never needed head

Staines/Slough/Windsor area.  Or anywhere in a 5-10 radius for that
matter.  I need a service and I can't afford to take it to my local

Auto transmission, recently serviced but did not fix the problem i was having.
The car will not go when in R or D until car reaches operating temp then it
is jumpy at start and shifts roughly into second. Had serviced cause i
thought it might have been trans fluid and filter but did ...

The original crankcase ventilation for the Rabbits used a restrictor in the
hose from the camcover to the carburetor intake. As a later "upgrade", a
PCV valve was retrofitted into the ventilation line (this is all detailed
in the Bentley manual).

I got an oil change recently done by my mechanic. He always has a hard time
replacing the oil filter as he finds it too big for the little space there
is to replace it. I buy the FRAM PH 3569 from Wal-Mart. He has asked me to
check if there is a smaller version of this filter ...

My T reg Passat's alloy wheels have spots of corrosion bubbling through
the alloy. Are they covered under the warranty?
