Location of Drain Holes in an A1 Rabbit27 Oct 2006 03:19 GMT4
Can anybody tell me where all the drain holes are in an A1 Rabbit?  I
know there are two in the cowl.  There appear to be one each at the
bottom of the front doors.  There is a little plug that I was able to
pull out that opened up a hole in the bottom of the hatch.  Nothing

Hi I just bought one of these Jettas and have been hearing bad things
about broken coil packs failing when wet, can anybody tell me where it
is on the car?   If its cracked I think I can probably fill it with
epoxy or something.  Thanks all.
radio codes-  98 Jetta25 Oct 2006 09:55 GMT2
I changed batteries, then entered the wrong code twice.
Does anyone know if I have to disconnect the battery again
or if just pulling the fuse will work?
I always transpose the code in my head over time and remember it wrong,

Tail lights keep failing on Golf24 Oct 2006 15:19 GMT12
Hi both my tail lights went last week on my VW Golf year 2000, i
thought it a bit strange that they both went at the same time.  Anyway
i replaced them both, and now 5 days later they have both gone again.
All the other lights, fog, indicator, brake and reverse lights are
Tie Rods already - 2001 Cabrio24 Oct 2006 04:11 GMT1
Hello all, does this sound normal?
My 2001 Cabrio which has 21500 miles was in for inspection today at
the dealer today and I was told it needs the left and right inner tie

Changing spark plugs on 1.6 MK3 GL Golf24 Oct 2006 01:36 GMT3
I can't believe I'm having to ask this question, but that's modern cars for
you... :-(
Can you actually change all 4 spark plugs on a 1998 1.6 GL Golf (AFT Engine
code) without taking the plenum/manifold off?
Rear Shoulder Belts in a Rabbit23 Oct 2006 19:34 GMT9
So I've been googling through the archives looking for information on
retrofitting shoulder belts into the back seat of my '84 Rabbit.  I
found a few previous threads of people who were interested in doing
so.  But I didn't find anybody saying that they succeeded or failed in

Hi. My fiance and I bought a 1989 turbo diesel Westfalia a week and a
half ago. We finally got the radio to pick up the signals, but it beeps
at regular intervals (every 120 seconds or so), whether we're listening
to the radio or a tape. There are no indicators telling us why it's

Diesel Tune-up22 Oct 2006 00:47 GMT16
Hello all, I'm new to this group.  I have just purchased my first
watercooled volkswagen, a 1981 diesel rabbit truck.  It runs like a
top, but it is really hard to start requiring ether everytime.  I've
got a Bentley and it points to the pump injector for initial inspection
The Strange Case of the Disolving Tires ...21 Oct 2006 01:40 GMT7
I have an '02 Passat GLS wagon with just 31K miles (I don't get out
much) and the tread on the factory tires (Michelin MXV4+) is
technically gone, worn down to the wear bars. Worse, the car spends 5
months of the year on snow tires (four Michelin Arctic Alpins), so

1995 Golf Starting Problem (Manual Transmission)20 Oct 2006 13:46 GMT1
When starting my car today it 'lurched' like it would if I were to

gears/clutch/something screamed/whinned and wouldn't go into gear.  Any
suggestions as to what it might be??
