What's it take to replace the ignition switch in a 1996 Cabrio? How much of the panel and/or wheel do I need to remove? Can it be done without pulling the steering wheel? If not, what's the advised method for removing it?

Does anyone know where i can purchase a heater core bypass valve? I have reason to suspect a leak in my heater core. There's a sh.t load of white smoke coming out of the heater vents when I use it. Air conditioning still runs clean.

I have a 92 Jetta Turbo-diesel with AC (non-functional). Recently, I have noticed that when I change the air flow control lever to floor or windshield, no air comes out of those vents. Only the interior 4 vents (2 in the center of the dash and two on either side) have air.

Hi, I've been having a very hard time getting into gear when first starting the car. Though after it warms up it seems to improve, then after driving for about 20 min it starts shifting smoothly again.

I have a 2001 VW Passatt 1.9TDI 130BHP that is leaking oil from the various joints between the Turbo Charger and Intercooler. It has always leaked oil from the joint above the Intercooler depositing oil onto the inner wing, I am told this is common.

I have Jetta ( 2000, TDI) . My Jetta was serviced in Hamilton ( Ontario, Canada ) dealer, they changed 3 transmissions, 3 clutches and I had same problem, still today I have difficult to shift in to 2_nd gear. in cold weater I had big fight with WV of Canada, with WV rep

Once was enough for me with this POS Jetta GLS 2003 I made the mistake of purchasing. So far I have had: 1. Windows that fell down due to plastic clips breaking.
