My 1999 Passat has recently developed a minor chirp.  It is only heard upon
quick decelleration and only when moving.  If the car is decellerated slowly
or engine is revved and accellerator released at a stop, there is no noise.

I am about to change the fuel filter, i am not sure this is going to
fix it though :(  It tends to happen during the first 10 minutes of
running. This leads me to think that it could be the auto choke
playing up. Anyone know how this works and how i could confirm/remedy

My Passat 130 TDI has started making a noise only under load.
The sound is gas (exhaust or  air unsure)being blown out somewhere, as it
only happens under load  I can't determine where the possible leak is, when
