Had an interesting experience driving this morning. Going down the

2 seconds later I see my tire go flying down the road and my drum hits

Golf Mk4 (TDi 100BHP) Interior Back Left Rattling Noise29 Dec 2006 10:53 GMT3
My Golf (Mk4 TDi 100Bhp 2003) seems to have an interior rattling noise
coming from the back left pillar (where the seat belt is) when I am
driving - not suspension related.
Has anyone else seen/heard of this problem?
Passat 1.8T timing belt29 Dec 2006 02:45 GMT15
I was told that the timing belt on my Passat 1.8T "showed signs of wear" and
should be replaced.  I was surprised as the car has only 31K miles (48K
kilometers) on it -- is this unusual, or what?

Hello - the outside driver side door handle on our 03 Westfalia has decided

work, however nothing happens when trying the outside handle. Any assistance
on how to fix this is greatly appreciated. We've had ...

the journey. Any ideas?
Cabrio won't start27 Dec 2006 00:47 GMT6
The car was running fine until the clutch cable broke (where it enters
through the firewall). After I replaced the clutch cable (with the self
adjusting mechanism, same as the previous one), I tried to take it for
a test drive but the car didn't make a sound. The dash lights lit up

My car is an '88 Cabbie with A/C and auto transmission.

about to fall off.

I know that all VW's have their quirks, but is it normal when you take
your foot off the pedal and it jolts and decelerates quick?. I know
that it's normal for automatic gas any make, but is it for VW?. Or is
their an equallizer/pressure valve somewhere to prevent this?.

1.4 Golf Mk 3 front suspension torque setting24 Dec 2006 19:59 GMT1
Hi, I'm busy rebuilding the front control arms and drive hubs on my son's
Mk3 Golf. Does anyone have the torque settings for the two strut bolts which
connect the suspension to the drive hub? I've searched through the manual
but the only setting I can find seems very light ...

My jetta driver side door latching mechanism just stopped working. The door

like pushing the latch down with my key, holding the door handle 'open' when
closing it... etc. The only thing that kinda works is ...

I have a 2002 2.0L petrol passat which suddenly cut out on me whilst

the road but after that every time I tried to start the engine it would
run ok for about 1 or 2 seconds and then cut out again. When the RAC

Remote manual control (cable type) will not adjust to full out position or
full up position.  Its on the driver's/left hand side.  Have examined the
