My Golf (Mk4 TDi 100Bhp 2003) seems to have an interior rattling noise coming from the back left pillar (where the seat belt is) when I am driving - not suspension related. Has anyone else seen/heard of this problem?

I was told that the timing belt on my Passat 1.8T "showed signs of wear" and should be replaced. I was surprised as the car has only 31K miles (48K kilometers) on it -- is this unusual, or what? Geoff Hammond

When I start the car the heater works fine, but as soon as it warms up and hits a certain point on the temp gauge it blows cold for the rest of the journey. Any ideas?

The car was running fine until the clutch cable broke (where it enters through the firewall). After I replaced the clutch cable (with the self adjusting mechanism, same as the previous one), I tried to take it for a test drive but the car didn't make a sound. The dash lights lit up

My car is an '88 Cabbie with A/C and auto transmission. The two air duct covers, one above the other on the passenger side of the radiator fan and mounted on the radiator shroud, are badly worn and are about to fall off.

I know that all VW's have their quirks, but is it normal when you take your foot off the pedal and it jolts and decelerates quick?. I know that it's normal for automatic gas any make, but is it for VW?. Or is their an equallizer/pressure valve somewhere to prevent this?.
