2003 Passat - Is Super Unleaded Required?14 Dec 2006 12:19 GMT25
I just bought an '03 Passat GLS 1.8 turbo (manual). I put regular

car warms up- I have to use all of my muscle to move it from 1-2-3-4
and once it is on the road for 1/2 hour or so it loosens up?
the other strange thing is that the emergency brake cannot be lifted

My 2000 Jetta GL has a manual transmission and a 2.0L gasoline engine.
The maintenance schedule on the vw website says the timing belt
tensioner should be replaced at 40000 miles.  When I called up the
dealer to get prices, he said it need not be changed before 105 K

Heated seats 98 Cabrio10 Dec 2006 18:09 GMT1
My wife's 1998 Cabrio has lost most of the heat in the seats.   There
is a weak bit of heat up near the middle of the back on the drivers
side-- but nothing anywhere else.
I'm not into upholstering anything- so I'm thinking my best choice
