Passat Interior Air vent removal05 Dec 2006 15:21 GMT3
I have a 2000 model Passat TDI and my bro damaged the central interior air
vents with a crappy clip on phone holder. As a result the once smooth
venetian blind-like vent is all wonky and out of sync. I'd like to take it
out and fix it if possible or go down to VW and order a new ...
Why do people have soft spots for VW's?05 Dec 2006 04:15 GMT22
I have noticed this for over 25 years that some people have a soft spot for
Volkswagens.
Why is this?  Because the Germans are smart and worked so hard after the war
to get back on their feet or the cars are unique and functional (they
Brake Light Problems - 99 Passat05 Dec 2006 03:35 GMT6
Does anyone know the most likely culprit for brake lights not working?
Warning strip in window works. All bulbs are ok. Fuse ok as well.
Refurbished alloys... OK?04 Dec 2006 19:19 GMT9
Some alloys I ordered arrived today. Specifically asked the seller
whether they were new or refurbished. They said new, they are not.
They were dirt cheap, and they do look reasonable (aside from a slight
colour difference vs centre cap... which is why I asked ffs) just a

Have a 2005 Passat TDI wagon, and am about to bring a 2005 1.8T 4-motion

Have noted some separation of the interior fabric-covered trim/strip that
runs up the A-pillars and along the upper aspect of the (interior) door
The VW Horror Begins - Chapter "Deaux"- (long and venomous)04 Dec 2006 16:28 GMT17

noob w/99 passat v6 manual04 Dec 2006 12:57 GMT2
I wanted to change my own oil to synthetic until I looked under the car
and now I am perplexed. I see what appears to be the "belly pan"
bracket hanging without a "belly pan". I cannot see the oil change nut
sticking at what I thought to be a 45 degree angle. I am about to go
92 Jetta runs rich then stalls04 Dec 2006 05:26 GMT12
My 92 Jetta started having a new problem last night. It was about -15C
outside and it would start and run for 2 seconds and then stall. If I
keep the revs up for about 30 seconds then it will idle but it idles
rough and is running very rich. I say it is running rich because I can

Hi everyone, Have any of you Golf owners had a problem with the heater
core? My car is just five years old. I drive it 3000-4000 miles a year.
(I live in the city.) And the heater core is broken. I have called the
dealer and Volkswagen USA. I've had the dealer call VW. They insist

86 Diesel Golf: suddenly will not start03 Dec 2006 00:51 GMT9
I am going to look at this today. My Golf Diesel suddenly kicked over of a
fraction of a second then would not start.
I thought at first it was the filter. I looked at the fuel gauge and it does
have a little and I could draw some fuel from the hoses to the fuel filter

I have a 2002 VW Jetta that has a warning light that is on, but I can not
find out what the light means and what it is warning me about.  It is a
circle with 3 dashes on each side of the circle.  Can anyone tell me what
that warning light means?  Thanks in advance!  Sassy
