Any suggestions will be appreciated

Does anyone know what a completely stock 2000 Jetta 2.0 (manual)

1995 A3 Jetta - Automatic Transmission Problems17 Jan 2007 03:10 GMT15
Hello all ...
My daughter's '95 A3 Jetta's automatic transmission has been acting up
recently.  If you put it in "D" it seems to slip through first and into
second.  You can manually shift through the gears without a problem.
Anyone flogging a cheap Mk2 GTi on 'ere?16 Jan 2007 22:37 GMT4
I'm in the market for a nice Mk2 Golf GTi if anyone out there is flogging
one for sensible money.
Read sensible as "not expensive".
Don't mind a bit of MOT work, but something solid and driveable would be
fuel grade16 Jan 2007 20:30 GMT9
I just bought a 2002 Passat GLX wagon. Woohoo! I've owned cars since
1987 and this is my first V6.
I'm in the US.
The manual recommends 91 octane gas or better, but it also says it will
Where to get a VW 6 CD in-dash CD changer from?16 Jan 2007 15:38 GMT9
I`m looking for one of the 6CD changers for a VW that goes in the dash and
connects to the gamma radio already in my car.  Anyone know of a good
source?  I`m not in the mood to go hunting on ebay and bidding time after
time to get sniped at the last minute :-)

I'm fixing to test the compression on my p6 passat vr6, and want to know
which fuse to pull to disable the fuel injection system. Do I pull #18
(fuel pump and heated O2 sensor) or #15 (engine electrics)? TIA - Chris

Hello all, my son bought a 91' Jetta GL with the stock radio in it.
Clean one owner with 84K miles, the problem is they let the battery go
dead and the radio is in lockout.  We THINK we have the code to the
radio but have no idea of the process to enter it and get the radio out

Fans move but it is like the engine is not there???15 Jan 2007 04:53 GMT11
Help.  This morning I went to start my passat and when I turn the key
I get a fan like noise and the engine does nothing.  I do not have any
resistance and no strange clicking or screeching noises.  When my wife
turns the key and I am looking under the hood, the fan is turning and
81 Rabbit diesel A/C Issues14 Jan 2007 20:52 GMT6
I'm halfway through the long process of bringing back an 81 Rabbit
diesel from the nearly-dead. It has A/C, though I'm not certain it is
original since the control on the inside, a rotary switch affair, seems
patched in. Anyway, the compressor turns but seems too stiff - caused

02 Jetta 1.8 turbo: leaking transmission cooler--> needs new tranny?14 Jan 2007 05:45 GMT1
Took my car to the VW dealership (75K miled) and turns out tranny fluid
and radiator fluid are mixing together. NOT GOOD! They claimed it
needed new hoses, tranny, and radiator tank. Estimate $5900. No
explanation as to the cause of the problem or if the $5900 would
Fuel Filter?13 Jan 2007 22:20 GMT2
Where is the fuel filter in a 1.8/8V Golf?  I bought it and it looks
like a cannister with nipples on each end... does it go under the seat?
Or under the car?   Thanks!
