My seventeen year-old daughter (in another state) just called me and
said that while she was having the oil changed in her car they
discovered the "right front strut jammed through the spindle and
tearing the axle boot."

I'm having loads of trouble with my Jreg MK2 gold ryder 1.6
to start with every now and again when i turn the ignition theres a
realy load noise and the enigne dosent turn. if i try it again it
starts fine.(this happens more when its wet)

I have a 1999.5 "New" Jetta TDI and the turn signals aren't working.  I
move the indicator lever and the green arrow comes on but doesn't
blink.  Is this as simple as replacing a fuse or bulb, or does this
mean I need to have the indicator mechanisim replaced?

My headlights (and rear defroster) are cutting out sometimes and it's
getting progressively worse.  I can keep them on by holding the key  in
the "start" position (just past the normal operating position), and if I
rattle the key sometimes the lights will stay on for a few ...

How is the ignition setup on a cabrio?  Every so often turning the key will
not start it.  It sometimes takes turning the wheel a bit or pressing way
down on the clutch.  At which point it seems like something 'flexes' enough
and it starts.  Before I go pulling apart the steering ...

Thought I was done with VW with the passing of my '89 but I'm back.
I'm looking at a '95 Golf that's been sitting for over a
year--battery's dead and when I try to boost the car, the car alarm
kicks in.  The owners don't know how to defeat it.  Don't know if it's

I'd like to know if the fitting instruction of the CONLOG LOGIC 850/950 are

I need to replace the fuel tank on a '93 Fox.  Does anyone know where I

I'm continuing to have problems with the clutch hydraulics in my '95
VR6.  The friction point of the clutch and the free play change, to
where somedays teh friction point is about midway up, other days, it
is almost at the bottom, causing clashing gears, particularly shifting

I own a 1983 Vw rabbit GTi.... when i was driving home one night, the
red light for the battery came on, so i popped the hood to check the
belt tension (since it had a history of coming undone) but the tension
was just the way it should be. the light then procedded to flick on and

I just inherited a 86 Diesel Jetta that had been stored for almost a
year. I vaccumed a bunch of water from it, but when it rains, I get
standing water in both floor pans. I notice water dripping on my clutch
leg also.  Is this a simple matter of resealing the windshield, or does
