2000 GTI Key FOB won't stopped working30 Apr 2007 15:16 GMT1
So I had a working FOB for my 2000 GTI VR6 and one that didn't work
remotely. I decided to put batteries in the one that didn't work so I
could have 2 working FOB's. Went to Radio Shack and bought the
batteries. Installed them on the spot. Tried the FOB and it still

2002 Passat Reliability29 Apr 2007 19:36 GMT5
I have a 2002 Passat 1.8 turbo, purchased new, with 50,000 miles.  I
read with alarm the April issue of Consumer Reports which indicates
that VW is at the very bottom of the barrel when it comes to long-term
reliability (Page 23).  Also, the 2002 Passat is listed as a used car
Back doors won't open29 Apr 2007 17:18 GMT6
I have an 86 Jetta that the rear passenger did not open when I got it
last year. Yesterday, the other back door refused to open.  I had
replaced the outside handle on that door a few months ago, and it was
the best working door on the car!
TDI?29 Apr 2007 06:46 GMT6
What are your experiences with a TDI? I recently got a new job and am
looking to purchase a new, or used car to
replace my 2002 Hyundai accent. I am looking for something good on gas (I
will be driving about 1 hour each way), and some with good crash test
Headlamp fixing28 Apr 2007 16:54 GMT1
Good day - I have a Golf II 1991 model. I need to buy a few of the
white plastic clips used to ensure the headlamps don't come free from
the adjustment screws. I've tried the GSF website
(www.gsfcarparts.com) but don't see any. Can anyone help, please?
Help! 83 rabbit leaking gas28 Apr 2007 03:57 GMT21
Hi- I am hoping to find someone willing to give a little advice.  I
have recently purchased a 83 vw rabbit GL (fuel injected-gas).  I was
told when I purchased the car that it would occasionally leak gas
through the cap due to the fact that it was the wrong gas cap for my
EGR VALVE!27 Apr 2007 15:08 GMT133
Okay so I found that supposively the "egr"  wire has a screw shoved in
it, and at the dist cap where theres usually a thing there (checked my
freinds mk2 out) is missing, would this cause the engine to not run
properly, also there is a small hole drilled in the air box near the
Mk2 Golf - Roof lining coming away27 Apr 2007 14:34 GMT1
Was driving along today and looked at my rear-view mirror to be
greeted by a massive bubble in the roof lining material. I thought at
first that somehow a load of water had gotten behind it as it was so
big! However on closer inspection it appears that it is just air

WV GOLF ATF27 Apr 2007 03:04 GMT4
I purchased a 2002 VW Golf 2.0L engine. I am performing some DIY
maintainance, and one of the things I wish to do is to change my ATF
and the filter with the gasket since the car is over 60k. However,
since it does not have a dipstick, after consulting some dealers, half

Radweld - Good or bad?26 Apr 2007 19:56 GMT6
Have a slight leak in my radiator (mk2 golf GL) most likely due to a
bit of corrosion. When the engine is hot and there is pressure in the
coolant system, then it pisses out of the hole and after around 2
trips I'm left having to refill the coolant system.
Instrument Panel bulbs26 Apr 2007 10:53 GMT2
