I have a 1980 rabbit convertable. I just changed the alternator but is still only charging at 12 volts. Does this car have a regulator? It doesn't seem to have a ground wire either. Is that a problem.

Ok another question I need answered in order to get this classic on the road. I just work on the break. All of them are bled and there does not seem to be air in the lines. I just added the self adjusters to the back breaks which the last people that worked on it left out.

Just bought and drove 600 miles. Need to tune up with ignition wires, cap etc. When going to web the parts stores list only the 1.6 and 1.9 liter engines. Apparently mine is a 2 liter made in Germany. What gives? Will the 1.9 L parts fit the 2L? Where can parts be ordered?

The rotor finally came off my 90 Golf 8v but in the process I busted loose one of the sensors on the top of the upper radiator hose as it leads to the motor. One of these is the coolant temp sensor. What's the other? What are the two sensors in order?
