My daughter called to say that her 2003 1.8T Jetta makes a squeaking or creaking sound when going over bumps. Naturally, it just went out of warranty. Any idea as to what is "most likely," on an 03 Jetta, eg, front stabilizer bushings or balljoint?

Just picked up a 1997 caravelle with about 120,000 miles. Notice that when starting from cold, a fair bit of noise, an uneven clattering type of sound. Is this normal for this type of engine?

I have a problem that just started. Below 3000 rpm and at idle the car runs really rough, sputters and hesitates but above 3000 rmp it runs fine. I replaced the cap/rotor/plugs and plug wires and it didn't help. What's happening?

I have a 1984 VW Rabbit. I will be changing all 4 struts. I do have access to a spring compressor. Is one needed to change the struts on this car or can the strut assembly be changed without compressing the springs?

I've just bought off Ebay a VW in dash single disc CD player for my Wife's 2002 Passat, whic previously just had the Gamma Head Unit. Upon trying to fit it, I realised there was no easy way of adapting the standard fascia trim, so I bought a brand new fascia trim from VW (£38!!)

I have a 96 Jetta GL III 2.0 ABA engine auto trans. Drove 1 block from home yesterday and it just died. Pushed it home and it sits in the driveway. Do not have any spark. Changed coil, dist cap, rotor and plug wires with known good ones.
