LEAKING GAS TANK SCIROCCO & CABRIOLET15 Jun 2007 23:12 GMT1
I've met quite a few people who still have this problem.  You may not
expect this response, but BRING IT TO THE DEALER.  Many scirocco's and
cab's may suffer from this problem 1987-93, but it is still a RECALL.
Bought my $900 Scirocco 16v with more than 200K on the non-working
2001 Passat 1.8T Maintenance Hierarchy/Priority15 Jun 2007 13:53 GMT7
I have a 2001 Passat 1.8T manual transmission with about 95K miles.
I do an oil change every 5K miles, did the plugs at 60K, put a new
battery in at 80K, and recently replaced the air and pollen filters.
I  know the timing belt is recommended to be replaced at 105K.
Sharan TDi 90bhp P reg14 Jun 2007 22:56 GMT5
The old diesel Sharan 90bhp is a bit under-powered.
Is it possible to boost the power from 90bhp to 110/115bhp
without it costing too much ?
Any suggestions ?
being dragged kicking and screaming into the (late) 2th century...14 Jun 2007 13:49 GMT6
I've vowed never to own anything newer than a '95. since I don't care
for computers ..on my desk or in my car, but reality is setting in.
Vacuum gauges, compression and leak down testers and the oh-so rare
(anymore) oscilloscope is my domain of expertise.
Alpine Stereo in a 1996 Polo14 Jun 2007 08:38 GMT2
Hello there - I was going to replace my standard Sony Radio/Cassette with an
Alpine cd changer. I got the old one out using the removal keys, connected
up the Alpine (it had compatible plugs) but found it only to work with the
ignition OFF! Basically it works with one turn of the ...
Here's a Brain-Buster for you!14 Jun 2007 07:00 GMT11
This could possibly be the most obscure question pertaining to this
group to-date.
Does anyone know what the angle (measured in degrees) of the rear seat-
backs is?

2007 passat - need better lighting12 Jun 2007 15:38 GMT10
I have just taken delivery of a new 2007 Passat.  I could not get the xenon

Hey All,
I asked this question last week, and perhaps I didn't define it well
enough - so I'll try again.

vanagon transmission lowering12 Jun 2007 13:15 GMT2
I've got an '84 vanagon with what I'm assuming is a bad pilot
bearing.  I am planning on doing the job myself but I need directions
for how to drop just the back end of the transmission to allow access
to the engine.  I'm sure I remember seeing this somewhere before but I

If my timing belt breaks12 Jun 2007 02:46 GMT7
I have an 84 Rabbit with the 1.7 liter, carburetor engine.
I changed the timing belt at about 80,000 miles and I now have about
145,000.
I was just wondering... if it breaks, do I damage the valves?
