I have replaced master cylinder, brake lines (rubber) in front,calipers,brake regulator, and pads on my 88 jetta and the front brakes still lock-up on me. I will be driving and have to stop and release the pressure on the right front disk after about 10 stop signs.

I have a '97 jetta TD, and I thought I was overheating only at high speeds, but it seams to be loosing coolant threw the vent on the resevoir? ( presure in cooling system?). Then it begins to overheat.....Since there is no rad cap, does the resevoir cap regulate the presure?

I got to do some laps at Road Atalanta last night. I have watched a number of races but this was the first time I got to be on the track. My best lap of nine was a 6:08.

I know I've stripped one hole on the tranny housing that holds the 4 bolts for the transmision pan. Looks like I can drill through to the other side, use a longer bolt and nut. Does anyone know the torque required to tighten these 4 bolts? I have

hello can some one help me with on going problem i have with my polo gti? the car has no power & very slow pick up.i have changed plug leads, plugs, coil pack camshaft actuator & a halls sensor but the car is still the same very poor.PLEASE HELP!

Many thanks to all who have responded to my brake problem. I still have the same thing going on after replacing the master twice, the calipers twice, the rubber lines twice. he car has never hit potholes or such. i've replaced the pro valve, just put on another brake check valve ...

Well, I finally got my 83 GTI up and running (it needed a new hall sender). But it seems that the numerous backfires have taken their toll. I actually noticed this new problem just after one of the last backfires so I'm pretty certain it was the cause.

I just went to get gas and while I did leave not much gas in before I filled, now the car won't start. I know it wasn't heated and it is turning over and I can smell gas. Any ideas? Many thanks

lost tickover, just stops when no throttle checked wiring & plugs around air intake, all ok have throttle jammed open a little for now electronics engineer by trade, just need a clue

My passat will not start. No lights come on but the engine turns over. Sometimes with a stroke of luck the lights come on and starts. Has anyone had this before?

Got a new one from VW. The gasket between the two parts of the waterpump (which has arrived fully assembled and bolted together) - should it be left as it is, or taken to bits and sealanted? And I've missed the rebate period by a week? Anyone offering odds?
