My VW dealer just charged me 115.00 dollars to clean out the sun roof drain
lines on my 02 gti. Front and rear passenger foot wells were flooded after a
heavy rain.  They told me it was a maintenance item.  I can not find the
maintenance procedure listed anywhere in the VW ...

I have a Mk4 Golf with the 2.0 motor (from Germany, not Mexico).  For
most of the car's life I've seen an intermittent check engine light
that techs (at the dealer and indy) saw is from a faulty throttle
body.  As I recall, the code is P1582,   "Idle adaptation at limit"

Slipping Clutch10 Jul 2007 02:59 GMT2
Over the winter I removed my engine out of my 61 beetle for cosmetic
reasons.  Upon removal I noticed the throw out bearing was a bit was, it was
worn in the center, the hole was kind of ovalled.. I decided while I had the
engine out I would replace it.

wiring a VW mk2 golf08 Jul 2007 06:34 GMT4
I just bought a 1985 golf. The guy who i bought it from, swaped the
mk2 dash for a mk3, he left the original mk2 cluster in it.
My problem is he either did not hook up the signals or he hooked them
up wrong. Also the break lights keep blowing fuses. The running lights
driveshaft and CV joint07 Jul 2007 21:45 GMT1
I replaced the driveshaft and CV joint on my rabbit today and I

past.  The previous owner did not replace the small flywheel cover (I
can see the flywheel thrugh a 1.5 inch or so opening.  Also, the

expensive (and potentially illegal!), I am looking for one, say within
100 miles of the Dallas/Ft. Worth, Texas area.  If you have one, please ...
