Have an '80 VW Rabbit, Westmoreland style w/ square headlights.
About a year ago, I upgraded the car to intermittent wipers,

My headlight stopped working about 2 hours right when I was out. I have a
car lightbulb kit which has a headlight one in it.
I can't figure out how to get at the bulb though!
Anyone help me out ?

Our door lock plunger used to snap into full-up or full-down position.
Now it just seems to float or fall back to the half-up position.

I need to dismantle the upper steering column to replace a faulty
ignition switch on my '92 Golf.  Following Bentley, I removed the
steering wheel and column stalk switches.  At this point what I'm
seeing doesn't agree with Bentley.  While Bentley describes a lock

I haven't been driving my Rabbit much, since it has well over 160,000 miles
(odometer broke two owners ago) and I don't know the condition of the timimg
belt.  Now, I'm 98% sure it has a blown head gasket.  Question #1:  How much

Are all cracks repairable on a Jetta year 2000 VR6 AFP head?  I do not
have the head removed yet, but am getting coolant into the oil and

and the engine sputtered down then died mid-drive. I drive a manual
and was able to coast into a parking lot. The oil pressure light was

I wrote here a few weeks back that my son had run my '87 Scirocco 16V over a
truck brake drum on the highway.
Mashed the hell out of the oil pan.  They've taken that down and, amazingly,
there is no visible damage to the crank shaft.  And my son reported that it

I have a 1997 Volkswagen Golf where I replaced a battery and now the
car doesn't want to start because of the anti-theft feature prevents
it from starting.

Hello there I am wondering if anyone can answer a stupid question for
me. I have a 1989 VW Golf, and i was wondering if you needed to buy new
caps like you do with regular rads or is it one thats good forever.
OH and is there any way to turn down the idle on the sohc fuel injected ...
