Hi everyone. A friend has a VW Polo twist 2004 which drains the battery every
two days or so when the vehicle is standing idle. So she has been told by the
VW garage the problem is the car radio - called an 'Alpine'. What the problem
is they dont say but they do know they want ...

Sometimes wont open from remote or release switch.  Will
occasionally get trunk open warning.  Almost every time
w/warning, trunk will pop open when driving.
Looking inside w/rear seatback down, trunk light is "on".

While working on a used Jetta, I had to remove the battery connection. When
completed, the radio gave a Code: 21. I have the radio code but I do not have
the instructions on how to reactivate it-No manual and the dealer wants $50
to do it.

my car alarm that goes off then u leave the door open and the car is shut off
will not go off. when u first start the car it goes off an usually turns off
but now its staying on constantly. its the germen police alarm.. is there
anyway that i can just disconnect the alarm or reset ...

OK yesterday was a really cold day here.
I started my car no problem...and drove off..made it on the highway and my
gas pedal was stuck to the floor.  couldn't slow down..got scared put it in
neutral for a split second and car revved right up  so jammed it back in

Symptoms:
When left overnight engine off, followed by cool/cold weather the following
morning:  The engine starts right away as it should.  But, it chugs and

My rear brakes pads and discs are needing changing and was wondering how
straighforward a job it is ?
I did the front pads and discs not long ago and it wasn't too bad. The
caliper pins are a bit fiddly to get lined up but no problems.
