Fuel Filter direction, 90 Carat07 Dec 2007 10:04 GMT5
I installed a new main fuel filter in the same direction as the
previous one, although it seems to contradict my Bentley.
The Bentley wants the fuel going towards the fuel pump where
the power and such connect to it.

I wish to trade a 1994/5 New Beetle (Including diesel) Bentley Manual

US versions, of course).
Please contact me off-group if this is possible.

I have a gasoline 88 Jetta with SOHC (8 valve).  The timing
       belt broke.
I got the top half of the timing belt cover off, and the two V
belts, and the power steering pump pulley.  It appears that I
Radio Opening05 Dec 2007 19:38 GMT4
I have asked this on other sites with no answer. Did VW change the size of
the opening for the radio in US Passats sometime n the 2005 model year?
My 05 Passat TDI sedan has a dbl DIN and everywhere I try to find a radio
with built in GPS, they all say I have a single DIN. Is there ...

Update A3 Clutch Woodchuck Dave et al04 Dec 2007 14:54 GMT4
I never opened up the TO bearing access. What I did was add 3 rubber washers
below the clutch cable auto-adjuster. This confirmed that the actuation
finger on top of the TO bearing must have shifted in the spline. I am now
able to shift gears normally. Clutch never slipped so that ...

I am hoping that someone out there will be able to help me out yet
once again.
I had to replace the water pump on my 83 rabbit (GL 1.7L FI) and so
decided that I would go ahead and put in a new timing belt as well.
How to reset adaptive transmission?01 Dec 2007 17:27 GMT5
I seem to recall that there was some procedure to reset the adaptive
transmission on A4/MKIV cars.  Something about turning on the ignition
and holding the accelerator all the way down for a certain length of
time.
